Residents come from all over Europe

Europe’s premier park home retirement community, Park La Posada, is the perfect place to visit if you are retired or due to retire and love Spain. A visit is all it takes to see why people love living here. You will learn a lot about retiring to Spain in a very short space of time.

For your visit, we invite a resident to welcome you and show you around. They will give you a good idea of what it is like to live in a fully supported residential park home retirement community. Living in Spain is not just about better weather and a lower cost of living. It also requires support and new friends.

While Americans have park-home retirement communities in Florida, UK citizens and Europeans have Park La Posada near Malaga on the Costa del Sol in Spain. The weather is similar, but after that, things are very different.

The receptionist deals with everything Spanish. English is spoken in the community

Fancy learning some words in Spanish?

A secure English-speaking park home community allows you to live in Spain (a country with different languages, cultures, and traditions) yet feel right at home. Living in Spain is not like being on holiday; with support and new friends, it can become a great way of life. In the community, everyone speaks English, yet the moment you go outside, you are in real Spain within Andalucía without tourists or tourist prices.

We are located in Alameda, not far from Mollina. The nearest town is Antequera, and the local airport is Malaga. Before any visit, we provide directions and the contact number of the resident meeting you.

Fly into Malaga, hire a car, book a hotel in Antequera, and experience the area. It’s a great idea to spend a few days away while researching into the future.

Retirement community living starts from 25,000 to 45,000 for a mobile home and 50,000 to 70,000+ for one of the latest custom-built park homes. Park homes are very popular in Spain because they are not subject to purchase tax.

If there are no homes for sale, you can register to be informed when a home goes on sale using this link. Community fees are 379€ pm (217€ pm for the Lomas homes) which covers full support and exclusive facilities.

We provide the support and facilities, but the residents who own homes within the park form the community. One does not work without the other.

Over the years, we have become a popular retirement location in Spain, and this is what our new residents can look forward to when they join our community.

  1. Bilingual staff (English-Spanish) are in reception and on hand to support residents (full-time or part-time) in all aspects of their daily lives.
  2. A secure gated community with residents having remote-controlled access. 24-hour security is provided.
  3. First-class facilities are provided and maintained for the residents’ exclusive use—there is no need to reserve sun beds by the pool.
  4. Roads with street lighting and pavements (lined with fruit trees) feel like living in a community rather than a park.
  5. Affordable park homes that are very easy to buy. There is no purchase tax to pay, and you are not obliged to use a lawyer. A SAPA agreement ensures any purchase is legal and free of attached debts.
  6. New park homes are available, specifically designed for single people who want to join the community and pay lower park fees. Community fees are €217 per month.
  7. A FREE translator service is provided as part of the SAPA agreement to register new residents with the town hall.
  8. The residents and the park often arrange supported community events to make life enjoyable. One example is the EuroMillions lottery ticket purchased by the park every Tuesday using a unique system for choosing the numbers. If it wins, 50% of the jackpot will be shared with the residents. Check the latest numbers.

To start, why not download our video brochure to watch later? It will show you what you can expect to see on a visit. It is also a good idea to read our frequently asked questions.

There is no need to spend a fortune retiring to Spain. Please read on if what you have learnt already interests you because there is much more information.

The community is less than an hour from Malaga Airport but well away from the usual busy tourist areas with inflated prices. In Alameda, residents are considered locals, not tourists.

Our location in Europe also means that community residents can enjoy the same warmer weather but at a lower cost of living.

To join the community, you must have a social level of English because all our support is in English.

Couples promoting Park la Posada lifestyle

Are you lucky to be old enough to think about retiring soon and looking to enjoy life? If so, the community lifestyle here in Spain is perfect for you.

For UK citizens, Costa Difference provides all the information you need to help you obtain the non-lucrative visa that is now required to become a resident in Spain. You can access that information here.

EU Citizens do not need a visa to become residents. Only a social level of English is required so that the bi-lingual staff in the park can understand and fully support you.

No matter your nationality, your new life in Spain can quickly become a reality with our support and the support of the retirement community as a whole.

Retired and single

The community also works very well for people who are single and retired or semi-retired. Everyone in the park forms their own friendships, and the social events are not geared around couples; they are provided for residents. Everyone in the park has the same aim in life individually: to enjoy each day to the fullest.

Park La Posada is the only residential retirement community that has park homes designed for single people, so they get to pay lover park fees. Brand new park homes are to be allocated plots 157 to 160.

The social life in the community is as important to residents as the weather and lower cost of living. Combined, they guarantee a feel-good factor.

Bi-lingual support

The reception in La Posada

The reception is the cornerstone of the community. Bilingual staff look after the residents. If a washing machine breaks down or they need the help of a local trader, they will arrange it for you and be on hand to translate.

Problem-solving is one of the main reasons why support is so important and appreciated. No one in the community is alone, and help is always on hand, no matter what the problem is.
